Capital X-Ray Expands Sales Area & Relocates Dispatch Center

Thanks to consistent growth in the state of Georgia, Capital X-Ray has now transitioned its Atlanta facility to function as the sales hub for the region. While the Atlanta office originally served as the service billing and dispatch center, CXR's home office in Alabama will now house both supply and service billing as well as dispatch under one roof. "This transition allows for more continuity between the supply-end and the service-end of the business while the addition of sales personnel will allow us to stay in closer contact with our customers. Ultimately, this will provide customers with a better overall experience," said Jarrod Stiff, Vice President of Operations. He added, "It's exciting to see not only the growth that's taken place, but the potential for additional growth."

Capital X-Ray has been in business since 1987 and provides coverage for Alabama, Georgia, Mississippi, and the Florida Panhandle.

Alabama Department of Public Health Chooses Capital X-Ray

Capital X-Ray has completed the delivery/installation of a digital portable x-ray unit and a PACS system at the Alabama Department of Public Health (TB Division).

Capital X-Ray Awarded Gwinnett County Bid

Capital X-Ray is proud to announce that they have been selected as the award recipient for a Quantum Digital Veterinary X-Ray System to be located at the Gwinnett Animal Welfare Enforcement facility in Lawrenceville, GA. The installation is set to be completed by May 2008.

CXR installs 100th Digital Imaging System

Not wasting any time in 2008, Capital X-Ray installed its 100th digital imaging system in its home state of Alabama. This installation is fitting thanks to the fact that Capital X-Ray installed what is understood to be the first digital x-ray system in the state. Terry Stiff, President of CXR exclaimed, "We've always been motivated to provide the best to our customers--both from a pricing perspective as well as making sure that they're able to choose from the latest and greatest product offerings. Capital Provides "Digital Solution" to a Cross-Section of Customers

Nearing the end of 2007, Capital X-Ray has prepared numerous customers to start off 2008 "digitally".

North Atlanta Medical Associates in Tucker, GA moved forward with the installation of an Agfa CR30, Universal X-Ray system, and an AMS PACS solution. Bringing top-notch patient care to the forefront in Byron, GA, Lifepointe Medical made the digital transition by purchasing an Agfa CR30, AMS PACS solution, along with a Del Medical X-Ray system. Lindsay Orthopedics, located in Alabaster, AL, also pushed into the digital realm with the installation of an Agfa CR30, RadInfo PACS, and a Del Medical X-Ray system. In the veterinary realm, the Animal Medical Center of Columbus, GA became one of the first sites in the southeast to feature the SimonDR Digital Veterinary System.

The last few months have been busy for the Engineering department at Capital X-Ray as multiple sites have selected Capital as their PACS provider. Along with multiple CR units, these PACS systems were scattered throughout CXR's coverage area to include Chamblee, GA; Dallas, GA; & Columbus, GA.

Agfa Expands Service Channel to Capital X-Ray

Agfa Healthcare has partnered with Capital X-Ray to extend service capabilties. Capital has long been representing Agfa's radiographic solutions throughout its coverage area. This additional service training will decrease customer downtime and monopolize on Capital X-Ray's top-notch service personnel. Ultimately, Capital X-Ray will be able to perform installations and technical service on all Agfa equipment. In addition, Agfa has agreed to list Capital X-Ray as "first call" on numerous customers currently not under Capital X-Ray's coverage.

Hyundai Motor Manufacturing selects Capital X-Ray

Hyundai's newest automobile manufacturing facility, located in Montgomery, AL, has chosen Capital X-Ray to outfit its onsite medical clinic with radiographic equipment. The $1.1 billion automotive plant is one of the most technologically advanced plants in all of North America -- and now their medical facility is no exception. The x-ray equipment will operate in conjunction with a Kodak CR (Computerized Radiography) unit. Penny Nicholls, Hyundai's Director of Safety, stated, "We focus on quality at Hyundai. Not just in dealing with automobiles, but also with the care of our employees. We think this equipment, along with Capital X-Ray's sales and service team, will provide an excellent fit."

Capital X-Ray installs Shimadzu MobileDart at Huntsville Hospital

While already at the forefront of medical technology, Huntsville Hospital (Huntsville, AL) took another giant leap forward with their purchase of a Shimadzu MobileDart portable. "The ability to acquire and store their images digitally allows for an overall increase in throughput. No more running back and forth for patient requisitions. The technologist simply pulls up the patient worklist and is able to be more productive," said Gerald Kiker, one of Capital X-Ray's North Alabama sales representatives. Huntsville Hospital now operates as a fully-digital facility.

Capital X-Ray inks dealership agreement with Virtual Imaging

Capital X-Ray has been selected by Virtual Imaging to act as a distributor for Canon Medical Imaging Systems. Canon offers a full range of digital radiography solutions for every general radiographic application. The core component of each system is the Canon Amorphous Silicon (a-Si) Flat Panel Sensor. This sensor produces very high quality images without the time and costs involved with film or cassette handling. "This further expands our digital imaging product line and will allow us to provide our customers with additional options when making the switch from analog to digital," said Terry Stiff, president of Capital X-Ray.

Capital X-Ray installs Kodak CR units

Capital X-Ray, Inc. and Kodak installed a Kodak CR850 this month. The equipment was installed at East Alabama Medical Center in Opelika, Alabama. The hospital has been making digital strides since 1999 when it purchased a Swissray Direct-Digital System from Capital X-Ray. Melinda Johnson, assistant director of radiology at the hospital said, "We are making a conscience effort here at East Alabama to assure that our patients get the most effective and advanced treatment. Capital X-Ray has always assisted us in those goals and we’re pleased to add the Kodak CR to our facility."

Capital X-Ray expands coverage in Mississippi

With the addition of three new employees in the state of Mississippi, Capital X-Ray, Inc. now offers its products and services to the entire state of Mississippi. "Until now, we only covered approximately half of the state. These new employees will allow us to comfortably extend that coverage into the remaining half of the state," said Gary Stiff, vice-president. Athens Orthopedic PACS install by Capital X-Ray

Capital X-Ray has completed a PACS installation at Athens Orthopedic in Athens, Georgia. The Cedara PACS system, along with Cedara's exclusive OrthoWorks software, allows physicians to store up to 1TB of orthopedic information, create prosthetic templates, view images via a secure web distribution network, and much more. Capital X-Ray installs Kodak CR at chiropractic facility

The Ross Clinic in Huntsville, Alabama has gone digital. Capital X-Ray, Inc. installed a Kodak ACR2000i along with a NAI Medical Digital Recorder (MDR) at the chiropractic facility early this month. "As far as we know, this is the first chiropractic clinic in Alabama to make the transition to Computerized Radiography," said Gary Stiff, vice-president of Capital X-Ray, Inc. Dr. Donald Ross, Sr. stated, "We're excited to be a part of this revolution in health imaging."

Kodak signs distribution agreement with Capital X-Ray, Inc.

Capital X-Ray, Inc. and Kodak have signed a distribution agreement making Capital X-Ray an authorized Kodak dealer. This agreement allows Capital X-Ray to sell & service Kodak Healthcare products. Gary Stiff, vice-president of Capital X-Ray said, "We are extremely pleased to be able to represent Kodak and their line of imaging products. As one of the largest independent x-ray companies in the southeast, we are proud to add Kodak to our line of available products. Capital X-Ray, Inc. installs Agfa CR units

Capital X-Ray, Inc. and Agfa have installed two Computerized Radiography (CR) units at St. Mary's Hospital in Athens, GA. The Agfa Compact CR & the Agfa Solo CR were installed this month allowing St. Mary's to be a full-digital facility.

Earlier this year, Capital X-Ray installed a Swissray Direct-Digital System at the hospital.
